Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions
Flatland is an experimental approach on communicating shifts in dimensions and text tonality through typography. The reader follows the protagonist, a square, through worlds which are filled with geometrical characters. The book is divided into two parts, in the first one the monologue is set in all caps with the rules numbered and inserted. In the second part the protagonist travels through other dimensions. Their characteristics are mirrored in the typographical layout, letting the reader experience the shifts of the different worlds.
